Scott Brody is an educator and thought leader in the areas of Camp Operations, Business Strategy, Child Development, Workforce Development and helping children to thrive in rapidly changing times. Scott owned and operated Camps Kenwood & Evergreen for thirty years and is currently supporting its transition to new ownership. He founded and owns Everwood Day Camp in Sharon, MA 16 years ago, and also leads the team at Camp Sewataro in Sudbury MA with the help of superb management teams.

 

Scott is a past National Board Chair of the American Camp Association, which he led during the Covid crisis, and currently serves as ACA’s Government Affairs Co-Chair, representing the Camp field in Washington DC and working closely with Congress, the White House, the State Department and a number of other federal offices. He was the 2025 winner of ACA's Distinguished Service Award.

 

He served on the Board and Executive Board of the Foundation for Jewish Camp for 15 years as well as the Partnership for 21st Century Learning in Washington, DC and has been an educator for the Camp field for decades, keynoting and speaking at countless conferences in the United States and globally.

 

Scott has led Congressional briefings on camp safety, the importance of Bridge USA cultural exchange programs, and on the ways that America’s summer camps build critical skills for children and promote college and career readiness for campers and staff members.
